Stephen Bock, Australian Everest Team completes Hike 320
Most of us would think driving 320km is a long way let alone walking it, but that is what Stephen Bock has accomplished as he arrived at North Harbour Reserve yesterday.
Trekking the equivalent of 7 and-half marathons, Stephen covered over 320km’s on his six day hike from Canberra. Stephen completed Hike 320 in a bid to raise money and awareness for Bowel Cancer Australia, with the 320 representing the number of people that die each month in Australia from bowel cancer.
Just before midday yesterday, Stephen arrived, tired, but in fantastic spirits having completed his trek. It was great to be there to welcome him, home, with local member of Parliament, Tony Abbot, also there to lend his support of the event.
As proud major sponsor of the Australian Everest 2010 Team we congratulate Stephen on completing this is valuable fundraising event, and inching closer to his Everest dream.
