The New Kid on the Suzuki Block – Introducing James Casey
Col Crawford’s is delighted to launch our sponsorship of James Casey, with the support of Suzuki Australia. James is world ranked in both Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Board Surfing as well as in Stand Up Paddle Board Racing.
He has recently had wins overseas in both disciplines and in recent months came second in a World Tour Event surfing which was held at the famous Sunset Beach and 5th in the prestigious Molokai paddle race. James is local to the Northern Beaches and well known. When not overseas competing, he operates his KiteSup business, running lessons and coaching the skills of SUP both on still water and in the surf, as well as Kite Surfing.
Last Friday night we hosted our launch and handed over the keys to James for the great looking new Suzuki Vitara that James will use, to move himself to and from local competitions along the Australian east coast as well as his day-to-day business. Col Crawford’s had the opportunity of meeting some of the people involved in local SUP & surfing clubs at the launch, a great community of people. We are very fortunate to have Suzuki’s support with this Vitara sponsorship, a perfect fit for the outdoor, sun & surf lifestyle James leads.

Let us say, that some of the shots of him surfing big Hawaiian waves are just amazing and the scenery and action from some of his Paddle Racing shots, be them in Japan, Brazil or here in Australia are pretty fantastic as well.
Suzuki Australia now have James Casey as one of their Brand Ambassadors, joining the likes of Billy Slater, Alex “Chumpy” Pullin & Sherri-Lee Biggs who are also ambassadors. We think this is just great and well deserved.
As for an Ambassador for your product, everyone that knows James would endorse he is an outstanding young man. He is also a gifted athlete and we know that over the next summer or 2, he will make an even greater impact on local, national and international stages with his stand up surfing and paddling.
We are delighted to be a part of his journey.
