Col Crawford BMW Pro-Am Tournament
BMW customers John Trowbridge & John Dertateossian with their guests joined 170 amateurs and over 50 professionals to compete on 11 January in the Col Crawford BMW PGA Legends Pro Am at Bayview Golf Club. Veteran pro, Roger Davis, set a course record 4 under par 66 to take out the professional’s event. Davis, who turned the front nine in even par, birdied four of the last five holes to storm home to victory by the smallest of margins from Greg Engal, who had earlier in the day set a total of 3 under.
During his acceptance speech, Roger thanked Col Crawford BMW for their wonderful sponsorship and remarked on how he had watched the dealership grow from strength to strength over 44 years, since his early days on the Northern Beaches. He vowed to return next year to defend his title.
In one of his first events as a senior, Terry Price finished at 2 under par to be tied for third place with Jeff Woodland. Former Bayview Junior and British Open runner up Mike Harwood was two shots further back at even par.
With the event attracting an array of PGA legends, Bayview Golf Club will look to make this an annual event on the PGA Legends Calendar.
